The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed in regards to the superior range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated sassa status Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance issue established for intervention activities a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for that Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to permit the servicing of all buyers and boost entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
